Introducing our Winner for the WIC Male Champion of Change Award for 2020 – Antony Stinziani from Department of Parliamentary Services. The WIC Male Champion of Change Award recognises the amazing work done by a male to support women in the ICT industry. Nominations are sought for Males based in the Canberra region, who have made a significant contribution to gender diversity in the ICT industry and/or acted as a role model or mentor for women in the ICT industry.
This year’s winner Antony was nominated for his ongoing contribution to advocating for women in the ICT industry. Antony has been a passionate member of the WIC community for years and has actively been involved in the WIC Coffee Catch Ups. He is a long-time supporter and contributor to Women in ICT Mentoring Programs. Antony is described as not just a voice; his actions also help encourage a better working environment for women.
Congratulations Antony on your Award! We look forward to continuing to work with you to further advocate for women within the ICT industry.
About the Award
WIC is a Canberra based not-for-profit organisation bringing people together to champion women in Information and Communication. Our vision is to be the premier organisation for women in Information and Communication in Canberra. As part of this vision, WIC has set up the WIC Male Champion of Change. The award will be presented at the WIC Award Evening on the 4th of November, 2020 at our Virtual Dinner Debate Evening.
The WIC Male Champion of Change seeks to recognise the amazing work done by a male to support women in the Information and Communication industry.
Nominations are sought for a WIC Male Champion of Change based in the Canberra region, who have:
- Made a significant contribution to gender diversity in the ICT industry; and /or
- Mentor for women in the ICT industry;
The WIC Male Champion of Change Award past winners have represented the Canberra business, government and academic industries.
