The fifth in the series on Taking Charge for 2022. \nThe topic for this series is “Taking Charge” on our career journey. This year we want to focus on the various roles within the ICT sector and how taking charge of your career is important and share ways to do this. \nWe are excited to announce that our speaker at this event is Dr Michelle Graham. \nDr Graham is the Chief Architect and Assistant Secretary for Architecture\, Design and Security at the Department of Home Affairs. Her responsibilities include all types of architecture\, cyber security\, financial operations for cloud and an exciting new program creating architectural blueprints for the entire Department. \nMichelle began her Australian federal government career with the Department of Defence in Canberra in 2005\, where she held a number of different roles such roles as Manager – Enterprise Security Architecture\, Director Governance and Coordination\, Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary for Intelligence and Security\, Director of Innovation and Integration for the Air Force\, Program Manager – Cyber Security and Intelligence\, and Program Leader – National Security. \nIn 2008-2009 Michelle went to Iraq as the Senior Coalition Advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Defence. Then from 2010 to 2015\, Michelle moved to the United States as a Professor in computer science and computer security at three Universities in Colorado. \nComing back to Australia\, Michelle was promoted to Assistant Secretary for Digital Strategy and Architecture at the Digital Transformation Agency\, leading and delivering whole-of-government initiatives\, including whole-of-government architecture\, the digital transformation strategy refresh – now digital government strategy\, and concept design and scoping of the digital review. \nMichelle holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons – Cyber Security)\, a Master of Science – Enterprise Architecture and a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science – Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security. \nWe have allocated seats to assist Pialligo Estate in serving the correct dietary requirements.
