Celebrating 25 Years of Impact: WIC’s 2024–25 Year in Review
As WIC marks its 25th anniversary, the 2024–25 Annual Report reflects a transformative year for the organisation — one that elevated our reach, deepened our purpose, and showcased the strength of our growing community.
This year, WIC proudly transitioned from a committee structure to a formal Board, setting a strategic foundation for the next phase of our journey. With the theme “Paving the Path”, we celebrated connection, equity, and leadership through a series of powerful programs and events.
Our signature breakfasts drew nearly 1,000 attendees across six dynamic events, and the Annual Dinner Debate in Canberra broke records with over 400 guests — a night made even more special by turning Telstra Tower pink and honouring Rachel Muldoon, a cherished member of the WIC community.
We expanded our impact through programs that matter. The WeX (Work Experience Connection) program continued to grow, connecting more girls with tech opportunities than ever before. Our AI Image Equity Challenge was launched inviting women and girls to explore creative and ethical applications of artificial intelligence, supporting digital literacy and representation in a fast-changing field.
WIC also celebrated achievements across all career stages through our annual Awards and recognised male allies through our Champion of Change category. Our signature events, including International Women’s Day and our Patrons’ Lunches, remained calendar highlights.
With total income of $323,765 and over 70% of expenditure directed toward events and programs, WIC continues to prioritise meaningful engagement and value for its members and partners.
We thank our sponsors, members, volunteers, and the broader WIC network for helping us #BringOthersAlong. The journey continues — and it’s brighter than ever.
